TREATMENT

BOTOX OR DYSPORT

Botox and Dysport are quite similar. Both treatments come from botulinum toxin – a neurotoxic protein that is safe to use in small amounts.

Although Botox and Dysport can be viable options for improving various medical conditions, their most popular use is to diminish unwanted wrinkles and fine lines.

Botox and Dysport are non-invasive treatments. When injected, they temporarily relax facial muscles and prevent them from contracting. This results in a smoother appearance to the wrinkles in the target area.

WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botox is a non-invasive, facial rejuvenation and harmonization treatment. It is used to treat frown lines and crow’s feet, as well as improve the appearance of wrinkles between the brows.

Unlike other facial rejuvenation treatments, Botox does not require any surgical procedures. Instead, it only requires a few injections that take up to 10 minutes with no downtime or recovery period.

HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

Botox is injected into facial muscles that are responsible for the fine lines and lax skin in the region that is being treated.

The ingredients in the injection block the nerve signals and in turn prevent the muscle’s ability to contract and form wrinkles.

WHAT IS DYSPORT?

Dysport is also a non-invasive injectable that reduces the appearance of lines that affect the Glabella – the area between the eyebrows. These lines can extend upward between the eyebrows and toward the forehead.

HOW DOES DYSPORT WORK?

Dysport & Botox are extremely similar when it comes to the treatment process. However, Dysport’s formula is a bit different, making it more effective for the Glabella area.
