WHAT IS HEMANGIOMA?

Hemangiomas or cherry angiomas are bright red spots that develop on the surface of the skin. They look like a rubbery bumps, made up of extra blood vessels in the skin.

Congenital hemangiomas appear at birth or within the first several months of life, but cherry angiomas can develop at any age. It can appear anywhere on the body but will most commonly appear on the face, scalp, chest, and or back.

WHO IS LIKELY TO GET HEMANGIOMA?

Anyone can develop hemangiomas and they can become more common as we age. It starts as a single flat red mark located on the body.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Hemangiomas do not resolve on their own, but they are benign in regard to your health.
